1. General Information

The Miles Mastering Live Rack 2.1 is a lightweight, CPU-friendly end-of-chain processor built for live performance and music production – designed specifically for Ableton Live 12 and Push 3 Standalone.
Delivered as an Audio Effect Rack (.adg), it includes only native Ableton devices – no third-party plugins, no Max4Live, just pure Ableton-native power.

All macros are organized into four intuitive control groups:

  • EQ: Low Cut & High Cut

  • Compressor: Threshold & Makeup Gain

  • Stereo Control: Width & Mono Switch

  • Limiter: Gain & Ceiling

The default settings are optimized for tracks hitting around -8 to -5 dB on the master – which is where I always have my pre-mixed tracks before mastering. If your tracks are quieter or louder, you can adjust using the “Gain” macro: Turn the gain up, if your songs are quieter, turn it down if your songs are louder.

2. Idea Behind the Product

Let’s be honest – there’s no one-size-fits-all mastering chain.
But when you’re playing live, you need a reliable, flexible end-of-chain rack that makes your set sound consistent, powerful, and complete – whether you’re live streaming, jamming or performing on stage.

I also use this rack while producing – I sometimes produce directly into it to check how my tracks would sound once mastered, and to identify what’s still missing. This workflow saves me time and helps me make better creative decisions early on.

Make it your own – the rack works seamlessly on Ableton Push 3 Standalone too!
